This is an ancestral festival that every year the people of the town of Cayambe celebrate with songs and dances, wearing their best costumes in a parade full of color. This is also a time to taste the delicious gastronomy such as biscuits and sponge cakes, leaf cheese and other native products of this charming town.

All about the Fiesta de San Pedro.

In the city of Cayambe every year between the months of June to August the popular San Pedro festival is held where there are different activities such as Popular Bulls, Saint Peter’s Vespers, Corrida de Luces, Parades and Proclamation, Fireworks, Popular Dances, among Other events.

The entire community thanks for the harvests received in the year through ancestral rituals, this holiday is also mixed with Catholicism where through Catholic ceremonies they honor the patron of the city known as Saint Peter one of the apostles of Jesus, this festival is full of color, tradition and different dances.

End of June until August.

This celebration is held in gratitude for the crops received.

It is celebrated in Cayambe, Province of Pichincha.

The festival mainly includes parades with Popular Bulls, Saint Peter’s Vespers, Lights Parade and Proclamations, Fireworks, Popular Dances, among other events.
